WELCOME SHS CLASS 1958 TO YOUR WEBSITE
MISSION The SHS Class of 1958 website provides
the opportunity for classmates to stay connected through email, news of reunion events, and miscellaneous information.
VISION The SHS Class of 1958 website is a recognized
model for others.
VALUES We value our naive high
school days of the '50's when the worst thing you could do at school was flunk a test or come to school without a belt on your Levis.
(Just the boys~the girls wore skirts and stupid gymsuits.) We value Mr. Fox's discipline (now) and Friday night football games
at Evans Stadium. Many still value that '57 Chevy.
We value SHS's first rate education, leadership standards, and service
opportunities, all of which launched us on our various paths through life.
Most importantly, we value each other.
LATEST UPDATE...August 7, 2008, NEW STUFF!

"Springfield High School Class of '58 COMMENCEMENT Eight O'clock, Thursday, June Fifth,
Memorial Hall, Springfield, Ohio." We walked in to the Processional, "Pomp and Circumstance" played beautifully by our high
school orchestra. The National Anthem followed and Dr. F.F. Mueller gave the Invocation. Our choir sang "No Man is an Island"
and "Gate of the Year." (Don't remember that one.) Valedictorian Betsy Barber's address "...And Not to Yield" (bet she was
glad when that was over) preceded an address by the Director of University Relations OSU--did we care? The good part--Mr.
Fox, standing tall and formidable as ever, handed us our diplomas. We teared up as we sang our Alma Mater one last time and
Rev. Robert L. Klausmeier (Anita's father) gave the benediction. Proud parents and prouder classmates gathered to celebrate.
FIFTY YEARS AGO, but sometimes it seems like yesterday.
NOTE: Remember to check our website STILL for updated reunion information
like pictures, Class Gift total to date, how many attended, etc. Go to "Read it in "The Herald!" on the navigation bar.
